[21:11] [Solarchos] But, since we're on the topic of the Abh and the war, perhaps now's a good time for me to continue a little more with the story. If you're up for it, that is.

[21:15] [Solarchos] After the wormhole between here...let's just call this dimension "Home-Prime", and my own dimension (the "40K Galaxy")...after the wormhole collapsed the Tenacious and the Cyo-Hatu were stuck in space.
[21:16] [Solarchos] We held position for a few days waiting for the portal to reopen. Such things aren't uncommon, but after a few days I gave the order to drop a surveillance probe and for us to move on.
[21:18] [Solarchos] I was getting a bit concerned. We'd been sitting idly in deep space for almost three days, two days longer than we were planning to stay, and we were *all* getting anxious.
[21:19] > Masaki O'Cain listens, drinking her beer
[21:21] [Solarchos] After all, we'd just escaped from an all-out war of conflicting ideologies and everyone had heard all of the horror stories about the 40K Galaxy. That and quite a few of the Delmos remembered all too well their brief encounter with the Imperial Guard and the Navis Nobilite years ago when my friends and I first arrived on this world.

[21:23] [Solarchos] But that's a whole different story for a different time.
[21:23] [Masaki O'Cain] wow
[21:25] [Solarchos] Commander Satler of the Delmos and Morrigan agreed with me. We had to do something to pass the time. After all, despite all her enhancements and upgrades, the Tenacious was basically a big sealed metal box in space. And the majority of the Delmo girls had no real long-term experience in deep-space environmental living.
[21:27] [Solarchos] So, we did the logical thing. We activated the Tenacious' ether-drive, set a direction, and made the jump with the Cyo-Hatu in close escort.
[21:28] [+David O'Cain] Probably a wise move.
[21:28] > Masaki O'Cain just listens
[21:28] [Solarchos] We spent the next few days jumping from star system to star system, just exploring randomly and seeing what there was to see. At one point we discovered a really interesting system.
[21:30] [Solarchos] We came across an obviously ancient star system. The star itself had gone off the main-sequence, meaning that it was swelling into a full-fledged red giant.
[21:32] [Solarchos] Most of the inner planets had been engulfed long ago. There was one a close distance from the sun, but it had been ripped apart by the gravity. All that was left of it was an asteroid field. The only other planets were barren, lifeless rockballs covered with ash and cinders and scoured by the extreme heat.
[21:34] [Solarchos] One of the planets still had an atmosphere, and the winds played across the ash surface like spiral windgusts playing across newly fallen snow. It was almost hypnotic to observe it in orbit.
[21:35] [Solarchos] While the Tenacious hovered in orbit, just seeing the sights, Morrigan's half-sister Katelyn had taken the Cyo-Hatu into the asteroid belt for some random target practice. That's when she made quite a discovery that got everyone excited.
[21:35] [+David O'Cain] Wow.
[21:36] [Solarchos] Or, as Katelyn said at the time..."There's diamonds in that ass-teroids!"

[21:37] [Solarchos] And if that wasn't enough, the Tenacious became the site of a very special event: Inu-Kit and I were officially married. ^_^

[21:40] [Solarchos] It was a beautiful ceremony, too. She was dressed in the best kimono she had, and the ceremony itself was witnessed by everyone. Including the whole MKA contingent and over 2000 Delmo girls.

[21:43] [Solarchos] I was still suffering from the Pariah Aspect, though. The pain was constant, and so was my need for aspirin, but I was starting to get used to it a little bit. However, once I was together with Inu-Kit things actually seemed to improve a little.

[21:46] [Solarchos] I could have used that stuff. Or I could have switched to something even stronger like Slaught or Kalma, but all of that stuff carries with it risks.

[21:54] [Solarchos] Then, after a couple of days we picked up something unusual. Our comm-arrays were detecting some kind of modulating signal. Putting it through the translation system, we found out exactly what it was.
[21:54] [Sgt. FM Serbius] I'm still working on strengthening the intensity of the energy, but what do you think? ^^
[21:55] > Solarchos jumps a little as he feels a shock like static electricity.

[21:57] [Sgt. FM Serbius] I've been working with Aunt Saya. She's been showing me more and more ways to use my innate magic to draw more magic out of the air and into my aura and convert it into raw energy instead of magical energy.

[21:58] [Solarchos] What we were picking up was a distress signal. We weren't sure what exactly what happening, but the content of the message indicated that it was a convoy of some sort that had come under heavy attack.
[21:59] [Solarchos] Hmmm, so you basically conducted a brief, low-powered electrical pulse down the length of your whip?
[21:59] [+David O'Cain] So what happened next?
[21:59] [Sgt. FM Serbius] Yeah
[22:01] [Solarchos] We figured we should investigate. At the very least just take a look at what was happening since the source was less than 20 light-years away.
[22:02] [Solarchos] The Tenacious could travel that distance almost instantly, but the Cyo-Hatu was equipped with a different kind of FTL drive, so it reqired some time to get there.
[22:03] [Solarchos] The *idea* was for the Tenacious to travel to the source and just scope things out while waiting for Katelyn and the Cyo-Hatu to arrive. Things didn't quite work out that way.
[22:04] [+David O'Cain] Botched badly?
[22:05] [Solarchos] What happened was that the Tenacious skipped through the Warp, emerged a moment later almost 20 light-years away from where she'd been a second earlier...and we found ourselves smack-dab in the middle of a full-fledged starship battle.

[22:06] [Sgt. FM Serbius] Ah! I've heard that story! Wasn't that how you met Lafiel and Jinto? :D
[22:07] [Solarchos] There were two sides. One side was made up of a bunch of sleek, almost elegant ships of a design I'd never seen before. The smallest of them were about 300 meters long, and the largest was just under 1300 meters.
[22:07] > Solarchos nods at Fiona. "You are correct."
[22:08] [Solarchos] However, the majority of ships in their fleet were just transports, and quite a few of them had been damaged or destroyed.

[22:10] [Solarchos] The ships on the other side, we ALL knew quite well. Huge, blocky, extremely functional in design, and they were all decorated almost like huge Gothic cathedrals. And their ships were *massively* larger than the other side's.
[22:12] [Solarchos] And like I said, we ALL knew exactly who those ships belonged to: the Imperium of Man. My own people.

[22:14] [Solarchos] The other ships were getting picked apart. The largest of the Imperial ships was a Dictator-class cruiser, basically a carrier, and it was continuously launching waves of fighters that were harassing their opponents. Meanwhile, the other ships were fighting back primarily with missiles, but the Imperial fighters were shooting them all down before they could strike their targets.

[13:27] > Inu Yasha gets a pot of boiling water and sets it on the stove

[13:28] > Inu Yasha grabs the pepper and salt from the seasonings

[13:28] > Inu Yasha notices the water is starting to boil (super fast rp) and throws in the noodles
[13:29] > Inu Yasha waits and tastes the noodles a few times
[13:29] > Inu Yasha shoves it in Hiroshi's mouth. "THAT is how a done noodle tastes."
[13:30] > Inu Yasha grabs a strainer and throws it in the sink then throwing the pot of noodly water in the strainer and turning on the cold water
[13:31] > Inu Yasha quickly begins moving the noodles around to cool them down fast
[13:31] [Inu Yasha] get a bowl
[13:31] > Hiroshi grabs a bowl from nearby
[13:31] > Inu Yasha dumps the cold noodles in the bowl and grabs the mayo
[13:32] > Inu Yasha mixes the mayo in and steps back for hiroshi. "Now add the tuna, the onion, and the peas."
[13:33] [Inu Yasha] hurry it up, you don't want to be late for your damn date, do you?!
[13:33] > Hiroshi addes it all rather rushenly
[13:33] > Inu Yasha steps and looks at it sturing it quickly
[13:34] > Inu Yasha adds salt and pepper to taste and wipes his hands off on a towel. "Now THAT is tuna salad."

[13:34] > Inu Yasha shoves some in Hiroshi's mouth
