[20:54] [Solarchos] The war against the Tyranids has run into some major setbacks.

[20:56] [Solarchos] The mining world of Qillion was attacked and a sizable fleet of Abh ships was waiting for them, but the Tyranids did something uncommonly sneaky. Before the hive-fleet attacked a gigantic derelict starship emerged from the Warp on a direct course for the planet itself.
[20:57] [Solarchos] The derelict was on a course that would've caused it to fall into Qillion's gravity well, so the Labule had to break the fleet up to deal with it.
[20:58] [Solarchos] It turned out that the derelict was stuffed to the gills with Tyranids. The Abh had to destroy the ship, but it was so massive that thousands of Bondev Sashu specialists had to board it to place antimatter mines throughout it.
[20:58] [+David O'Cain] Ugh!
[20:59] [Solarchos] By that time the Tyranid hive-fleet arrived and began their attack. The Labule had no choice but to split their forces and try to deal with two threats at once.
[21:00] [Solarchos] They successfully destroyed the space-hulk, but many thousands of human soldiers were lost in the process. However, the fleet was outmaneuvered, surrounded, and ripped to shreds.
[21:01] [Solarchos] Only a small part of the fleet was able to retreat in time. The Tyranids then closed in on Qillion, overwhelmed the planetary defenses, and began pouring down from orbit by the hundreds of millions.
[21:01] [+David O'Cain] S[BLEEP]t.
[21:02] [Solarchos] When the Abh reinforcement fleet arrived, they had no choice but to completely saturate the planet with a continuous hoksas barrage. There's nothing left alive on Qillion now...human, Abh, or Tyranid.

[21:05] [Solarchos] The same thing happened at the agricultural world of Declan. The Tyranids overwhelmed the fleet and the orbital defenses and swarmed all over the planet, despite the fact that the Labule had deployed several full regiments of Bondev Sashu trained and equipped for anti-Tyranid warfare.
[21:05] [Solarchos] There were just far too many Tyranids for them to effectively deal with. The Labule was forced to wipe out everyone and everything on Declan, too.
[21:07] [+David O'Cain] Like they had any choice. It was either that or just let the place become infested.
[21:07] [Solarchos] The agri-world of Sierrar was the worst piece of news we received. An intelligence blunder assumed that Sierrar was far enough away that the Tyranids wouldn't immediately go for it, so only a small Labule reinforcement fleet was stationed there.
[21:10] [Solarchos] A large hive-fleet invaded the system and headed straight for Sierrar. The Labule was badly outnumbered. They tried to fight, but they soon sustaining so much damage they had no choice but to retreat or face complete destruction.

[21:11] [Solarchos] The Tyranids had a field day swarming over the planetary defenses, and without the support of the Labule the ground defenses were overrun and wiped out. A reinforcement fleet arrived, but the Abh were again pushed back and forced to withdraw.

[21:12] [Solarchos] The Labule *wasn't* able to bombard everything on Sierrar. As a result, the Tyranids were able to devour and assimilate as good portion of Sierrar's resources and biomass into the hive-fleet.
[21:15] [Solarchos] Like I said, the news wasn't very good this time around.
[21:15] [+David O'Cain] Hmmm.
[21:19] [Solarchos] Hopefully the next piece of news we receive will be much better. I'm not surprised that the Abh suffered some setbacks. It was inevitable that the Tyranids would adapt and evolve their tactics.
